The Stage of Chunhyangjeon: Korea’s most famous classic romance, the love story of Chunhyang and Mongryong, is set against the backdrop of Namwon’s Gwanghalluwon Garden.

Gwanghalluwon Garden: A traditional pavilion garden from the Joseon Dynasty, where Chunhyang and Mongryong first met; one of Korea’s four great pavilions.

Home of Pansori: Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, pansori (epic storytelling through song) originated here, and visitors can enjoy performances and hands-on experiences.

Jirisan’s Nogodan Peak is one of the most beloved sunrise spots in Korea.🌄

At 1,507 meters above sea level, it offers a relatively easy hike compared to other Jirisan peaks, making it perfect for beginners. Starting at Seongsamjae Rest Area, the trail winds through peaceful mountain paths and arrives at Nogodan Ridge in about two hours.

As the sun rises above the horizon around 6:20 AM, the entire valley below fills with golden light and mist, creating a breathtaking scene that locals say feels like standing in the clouds. It’s a spiritual and unforgettable way to begin the day in Korea’s first national park.

The round-trip trek takes about 2 hours on an easy trail, making it accessible for everyone, even expecting mothers can take it slow.
Just a heads-up: the winding road to the trailhead by private vehicle may make you feel a bit queasy!
